When the girls were little, I banned the modern Nancy Drew stories as I thought they were too female competitive for male attention, very unlike the originals. Silly me.
Did you read the cover of this magazine?! It's right up there with Edge of Night plots. This would have been banned, too. Of course I ruined the plot of the Little Mermaid by asking questions like "What do you think of a father allowing his young daughter to run off and marry a stranger?", so perhaps I'm just a bit obsessively feminist.
