Ya know, I don't know why more people - mainly meaning me, lol - don't make homemade bread. I love doing it. There is just something about taking that sticky mess and turning it into a satin smooth ball. Well, too, let's not forget the finished product. It really doesn't take much time. One just needs to be at home.
My problem is finding a place in the house that stays warm enough to let the bread raise (one of the joys of living in a drafty old house). When Grandma didn't have the wood stove going, she set her bread to raise in the electric oven, but I've not had much luck doing that.
I liked that remark asking if you eat bread 3 times a day because of habit or because of the taste.. How true that is for me because I find I eat very little bread unless its homemade.. store bought is so tasteless
