Tatting thread!!!! Thems good reason for half rations right there! That stuff is not cheap and a total pain to rewind on the ball(having had that experience thanks to my Maine Coon boy).
On the bright side: - he didn't eat it which would have meant xrays or worse - he didn't run off with something half made (like a certain orange guy of mine who will remain nameless who did the cartoon cat sprint, unravelling as he went.)
We had a cat that kept eating my sewing thread. Even if I put away the machine, she would reach up and grab the bobbin thread, eat several yards, and then race through the house, trailing the thread around chair legs and under the bed. The first surgery cost $300. The second was $350. The third time I simply had to have her put down, as we couldn't continue this nonsense. Polyester cuts through the gut like wire through cheese, and it was getting harder and harder to patch her up/
Lady Anne, when I was still in high school we had the same situation with one of our cats. I try to keep the tatting thread in a zipped tote bag but I must have left this one out, somehow.
ah yes, kids either 2 or 4 legs, they like to play with your threads.

Great whiskers on that boy, and lots of attitude.
Bunny, the unraveling incident involved the dog and an ice-blue mohair shawl.
ReplyDeleteOh, but one does better work with better materials, don't you know!
