No prizes for guessing where I am this week.
Edited to add -- running a shelter in Watseka. I've been on the Chicago tv news twice, media star that I am.
Update 1/5/16: Closing down the shelter (everybody's back in their homes) and being transferred to Springfield for the next two weeks.

Oh, golly! Are you guys ok?!?!!?
ReplyDeleteI sure hope you and yours aren't under water. Godspeed if you're going to volunteer.
ReplyDeleteExcerpt from the December 30 Iroquois County Times-Republic: "At this time, the American Red Cross of Central and Southern Illinois Region is
ReplyDeletefortunate to have volunteers who are trained, ready and willing to support our
response to the flooding in our communities. We thank individuals and community
groups who are willing to support this effort and encourage them to register to
become new volunteers to help with future disaster responses."
Good luck. It's a good thing you're doing.
Oh, dear heavens! What an incredible mess. And nothing to do but wait for the water to go down. God bless you, and all the good folks who are out there lending a hand!
