Words Fail Me

I’ve been following the Ezekiel Stephan and Robert deNiro/Vaxxed stories.  I should stop before I start kicking the dog.

  1. I wish someone would stroll through a few pre-vaccines and antibiotics cemeteries and take pictures of the headstones of little children who died from diseases now usually found only in closed religious communities that don't vaccinate or in impoverished countries (or in parts of Pakistan where polio vaccinations are blocked by extremists.)
I'm with you, although mine is put the toe of my shoe in an appropriate place.

  2. When I think of the HELL that child's last week of life must have been I want to rip out the reproductive organs of both parents.

  3. I do not understand where these ignorant, self indulgent people who don't have an ounce of common sense or compassion come from. I hope they take their other children away and monitor any future pregnancies.

  4. Many, many years ago, we were wandering an old cemetery on the Eastern shore and I pointed out to our granddaughter that the little girl buried in a certain grave was exactly the same ago she was. She had me take her picture leaning against the tombstone. "I'm going put it on my mirror to remind me that when the doctor has to give me a shot, it's so I won't die."

Kid had more sense than some adults.

  5. What burns my butt is their selfishness in harming not only their child but everyone they come in contact with. "The wants of the one do not outweigh the needs of the many".

  6. I'm not big on joining organizations that picket and shout, but may reconsider and look for an anti-antivax organization.
From today's Canadian Huffpo: Alberta child with brain cancer exposed to measles due to unvaccinated child in hospital.

We have Mennonites who run a farmers' market in Kitchener, Ontario. They used to not vaccinate, may still not, and have had periodic outbreaks of which sometimes killed a child. Ontario schools recently sent several thousand children home and refused to readmit them until they were vaccinated. Who would have thought that the well educated population of a first world country would fall en masse for old fashioned superstition and bad science from a charlatan?
