And You Thought Making A Bed Around Kittens Was Tough

Edited to add: Then he sends for reinforcements.
Edited to add further: I caught Reserve Cat playing with Minnie today.  Not for very long and he ran away when he saw me but still?

  1. I think Reserve Cat needs his own, special spot, one that's only his, to cheer him up a bit as he's lost his spot in mum's bed forever.

  2. He's been hiding behind the furnace, poor old fat bastard.

  3. OMG that's the saddest thing I've seen all day...!😿😿😿😿

  4. He's really very unhappy with our new pack members.

  5. Sorry that Reserve Cat got the boot off the bed. But on the other hand, look how nice the Big Beasts can sleep with the Little Generals. As for making the bed, they are merely trying to keep you warm with the extra layer of fur.

  6. Although we've allowed the cats on the bed during the day, we don't allow ANYBODY on the bed at night. I have a screaming conniption fit if one of the cats jumps on the mattress while I'm asleep, and I'm afraid they'll hit The Squire's feet. Fortunately, our bed is too high for the dog to jump that far.

How is Reserve Cat doing? Didn't you have an appointment for him on Monday?

  7. Next week--I forgot this week is Thanksgiving. Funny, when you're no longer working a four day weekend doesn't have quite the same glamor.

As I mentioned, I caught in him in a lese-majeste moment today actually playing with Minnie.
He really is a sweet old boy and I'm hoping that with the cold weather keeping him inside, he'll start to come around.

  8. I'm glad the big boy is starting to warm up to Minnie. Sounds like he could do with someone to cuddle with who will lick inside his ears and purr for him.

  9. I think they've got a way to go, but the weather's so cold now that he's trapped in the house with them all day.
