Love the ad. The Edwardian house we used to have had a red lino on the 3rd floor which we found when we took up a couple of layers laid over it. The pattern was similar to the blue tile design but fancier, and still bright red, yellow, and green. There was only a patch about 6x9' in one corner of the room which was too bad as I would have kept it. I think it was a copy of the intricate tile hall floors British Victorian homes often had.
I love these kinds of ads to use with costumes. Gives me a feel for the color combs and patterns of the times. Bunnykins - the tatting will be on it's way west this week.
