Woman Proposes, Cat Disposes
After washing the white coverlet and putting it back on the spare-room bed, I carefully spread a bath-towel over the top to keep it from getting soiled or covered in pet hair...someone had other plans. Seriously, why do I bother?
Perhaps he assumed you put the towel there just for him? He does look comfy - and alone for a change.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I put the towel there just so he could carefully pull it to one side and plonk his fat hairy ass down on that clean coverlet.
ReplyDeleteLook on the bright side: ginger hair blends in. I have two all black cats. You should see my pale carpet. It look like they had a hair pulling contest and left tufts of it behind. Dumb of me. Usually my rule it: everything has to blend with the cat.
ReplyDeleteThe corollary, of course, is that if you have two soft things on the bed, the cat will select the most delicate.
ReplyDeleteWhile black cats and Maine Coons leave a visible trail of hair, orange tiger cat hair has the supreme talent of weaving into any fabric the beast sleeps on. And was the towel soft and fluffy?
ReplyDeleteI guess that was the problem -- the coverlet was fluffier than the towel.
ReplyDeleteWhat you need to do is put the towel down on the coverlet and say firmly " Do not sleep on the towel!"... could work...
