Late Victorian or Edwardian? So beautiful, yet slightly sinister, and aware that Mother Nature is not benign, all wrapped up in one sweet image. It's lovely, and just a bit creepy. OK, so I'm soft.
Bunnykins, my nickname when I was a kid was "The Mouse" because I was so shy. 9Fear not, I've overcome that in spades!) I'm still partial to mice, and use live traps to put the mice out in the woods. The Squire even takes along a handful of cat kibble "so they have something to eat until they figure out how to live in the woods". Face it, we're both crazy!
We had lemon meringue (home made) and apple (store bought). No mouse pie, and no pumpkin. Sorry.
