I was up in Big Sky Lodge on the Blue ridge having my coffee on the balcony and enjoying the morning air, when up stood a previously unseeable mother and her fawn who had been sleeping under the ferns and other underbrush. It looked just like this - for an instant until they disappeared into the bush. Beautiful poem; sad, though, and seemingly unnecessary. Thanks for this, and making me remember a once in a lifetime thing for this city person.
