I like the way the duck mimics the soldier's stance. We used to have ducks on our pond, and they made terrific watchdogs. They always rushed any car that came into the drive, and never, ever let our girls sneak home from a date.
As Sam said, geese are worse, but swans are vicious! A classic case of beauty being skin deep, but ugly goes clear to the bone.
