Continuing yesterday's theme, I give you a black cat doorstop, from the January 1940 issue of Popular Mechanics. Convenient, too - it can be "reached without stooping."
Shay - that's a great idea. I don't have a workbench since we moved, so cardboard and dowels, felt, pipe cleaner whiskers and glow in the dark paint for the eyes is doable for me, too. Glue is so much better these days.
