Odd choice of word - "Kinder" is German for child, but I've never heard of "kind" being used as an English word.
Maybe in Chicago and St Louis, but Woman's Home Companion was a national mag.
Pretty sure "kind" here means her kind of peanut butter; in other words her brand ofnchoice.
