Before the days of standardized measuring cups. One blue willow tea cup, by guess and by gosh. Now what you do is "rinse" that cup with cooking oil, and the molasses will slide right out. And FWIW, I still prefer Br'er Rabbit to any other brand of molasses. I think it's the shoes that get to me!
