In Remembrance

We are here in a general sense because first and foremost we are American citizens and we are determined to apply our citizenship to the fullness of its meaning  We are here also because of our love for democracy, because of our deep-seated belief that democracy transformed from thin paper to thick action is the greatest form of government on earth. ~ Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

  1. Democracy requires everyone to do their duty and vote. In every election. After finding out facts about the candidates instead of rumors. Then make sure the votes are counted and applied accurately, using fact-based evidence. Then making sure that the carefully chosen elected officials understand and follow their sworn promise to follow our laws and to represent all of us.

It's messy, it's a lot of work, but it's our duty to ourselves, our neighbors, and to our democracy itself.

    It's so worth it.
