Lucky man! I haven't heard a hand rung bell in I don't know how long. How cool is it that the church has bell ringers?
It's a tower bell! Still manually rope-driven, which is why he was so happy to be volunteered for it. #boyslikenoise
The church where my dad is buried - his first parish, BTW - has a hang rung bell, which is used for national holidays and funerals. Nice.
