Happy Casimir Pulaski Day

Established as a holiday in Illinois in 1986, and originally everything including banks and schools closed.  The mean-spirited point out that this was only 3 years after MLK day was designated, and claim it happened so the white residents of Chicago could have their own holiday (eye-roll).

Well, without Pulaski we'd have had a lot more trouble winning the American Revolution. BUT don't we white folks have enough holidays of our own? Columbus Day, Presidents Day? Yeesh!
