Quote of the Day

Religious institutions that use government power in support of themselves and force their views on persons of other faith, or of no faith, undermine all our civil rights.  Moreover, state support of an established religion tends to make the clergy unresponsive to their own people, and leads to corruption withing religion itself.  Erecting the 'wall of separation between church and state,' therefore, is absolutely essential in a free society.  Thomas Jefferson.

Anyone in DC not understanding this concept needs to give us back their paychecks. All of them.

Oh, no...according to Speaker Johnson, the founding fathers intended the first amendment to protect churches from government oversight.

For years, I've said anybody who runs for public office should be able to pass a written exam on the US Constitution. Maybe we need to include an IQ test, as well.
