No, I weave 'em on one of those silly potholder looms that I've had forever.
I don't know how to crochet but would love to learn...these and the ones in the other potholder books on the Purple Kitty site are so funny and inventive. Have you made any of them?
I knit my dishcloths...I hope that counts for something?
