Children's Crafts - Plant Pots from 1953

With spring (almost - sorry about that, Utah) upon us, here are some easy projects for plant pots to decorate in various ways.  From my personal copy of McCall's Golden Book, published 1953.

I'll take whatever Utah has, we are quickly edging into summer and it's not going to be pleasant. Not enough rain or snow this winter so fire is a problem.

Where are you, mamafrog? We live just north of Baltimore, MD. and it has rained a LOT. Never got cold enough to snow, but we'd had so much rain that Home Depot was running a special on gopherwood.

@Lady Anne - Oklahoma City, basically central Oklahoma. Our weather has been feast or famine the last couple of years, though Eastern Oklahoma has had a good amount of rain and truly awful wind and western has had more of the cold and snow. It skips around us mostly. We do have our wind which helps most of the time, except when it gets a little fractious. We get four or so days of mostly not too bad weather, then a couple of days of buildup to don't touch anything metal (hot or cold) and a day or two of possible wet. We are probably going to have some bad storms soon. Our weather here is what is laughingly called variable.

The Midwest generally had a bad (as in not enough) snow year. I don't understand why people can't grasp this.

No precipitation, no food.

And wildfires. Not so much forest to worry about as grass lands which go quick, being flat and windy here and a lot of the midwest.
