Departing tomorrow - I may blog on the trip but no guarantees because the spousal unit will be with me. We were fortunate enough to hire a member of our vet's staff to housesit for us.
Leaving the dogs and Blitzen is going to be bad enough - leaving them alone would probably be a guarantee of wreckage upon our return.

We think of hiring the vet tech's to pet sit as turning them into our pets next favorite people. Which might ease vet visits...
Fortunately this vet tech does house/petsitting as a side - we lucked out. The dogs adore her.
