I can't imagine either of my cats allowing me to manipulate their paws like that. :-) I do think they would enjoy the little ornaments and so perhaps will make them some to play with soon. It appears they are from felt, does that sound right?
I do not read Japanese (or speak more than 3 dozen words of it, mostly related to ordering food and beer), but the construction technique leads me to believe it is felt or some similar non-raveling textile.
I would wind up bleeding in several places if I tried this with either of my cats!
