Grrrsday

None of the above right now, actually.  They are both lying on the cool concrete floor in the basement with a fan going.

This week has been brutal, evening for central Illinois in August.

Oh, I understand completely! We didn't have A/C when we were kids, and my sister and I used to drag our blankets down into the basement to sleep.

Even my one dedicated yard dog (as in, she'd stay out most of the time if I let her but black skin and fur isn't comfortable most of the year here) wants to come right back in after being out. Much less the dog who "doesn't do outside more than a quick trip for his business" wants to go out and my goofball who likes to check everything in the yard is back quick. Oklahoma is suffering through the upper 90's/almost 100's this week. It's not unusual for us but still truly unpleasant to those who can't take the heat. I'm having trouble even going into the uncooled/unheated garage for laundry, or walking down the driveway for the mail or trashcan.

No AC so we know where any bit of breeze is by where Little Miss Maine Coon is sprawled. Lately it has been the hall between the bedrooms. Hoping of cooler temps nad lower humidity at least for the weekend.

Sam - yes, the Big Yella Fella parks himself in the linen closet. Dark and cool.
