Christmas Quilting - "Shepherd's Light" from 1946

Seasonally appropriate but probably not something you can whip up in the next ten days - unless you're making it crib- or lap-sized.  From the January, 1946 issue of Workbasket magazine.  The entire issue is available as a free download from the Antique Pattern Library.

That is so pretty! I started a wedding quilt when The Squire and I got engaged. We just celebrated our 47th anniversary, and it is still not finished. Good thing we weren't waiting for it!

When I was a teenager my mother sent off for one of those double-bed sized cross-stitched quilt kits. I think she finally finished it about thirty years later.
