along with all the other horror, this was when i first heard of rescue dogs getting a form of ptsd from finding so many cadavers. they're trained to by finding live humans hiding, and they're so happy and excited, but this, and other disasters, was too much for many. not to lesson any of the other horrors - human rescue workers are still waiting for recognition/coverage of their own physical/mental symptoms - but somebody out their can say it better for me.
