Sewing-The 1950s Slip-on Coat or "Topper"

The last garment in the series, a loose, fingertip-length jacket with pockets and cuffed sleeves. Make it in flannel or tweed and then sew this handbag to match.

Instructions for the topper are on my Flickr account.

Love the "topper" and the handbag. So versatile, but yet classy. Other than those set-in pockets, the topper would be a breeze to make. Thanks for sharing. You always come up with the neatest stuff. :)

Hi Shay~ ~I really love this little jacket, the swing, the cuffs, the neckline! I haven't sewn any real clothes in years. Just bags and aprons right now.

(sigh). I know. Except for mending and alterations, I haven't done any clothes sewing recently.
