Knitting - Joan Crawford's Dress

(From Modern Knitting and Needlework, Spring 1949). You, too, can knock 'em dead at the Brown Derby or Ciro's in a dress just like the one Joan Crawford knitted for herself. All you have to do is download the instructions from my Flickr account and start knitting.

guess knitting is what you do when you're waiting for lighting and scenery to be organised on the set before you make your big entrance?

Ah, Joan... One of my favorites actresses, in spite of her issues, I guess you'd say.

Heh, I've been studying French too much recently - my adjective and noun are both plurals!

I can take or leave the dress; what I want is that upholstery fabric!

"Ya, right" (very sarcastically) about all I had to do to knit the dress... LOL I cannot knit or crochet. These two skills just are beyond me.

Anyway, I too, love the upholstery fabric and the chair and the little knickknack shelf in the background (reflected in the mirror?).
