Vintage Advertising - Kestos Swimwear

Image from patricia's wonderful site, posted because it has been snowing on and off all day and I'm a cruel person.

Not cruel - just hopeful we will get a summer even if Spring plays hide & seek.

Those are so lovely and elegant. It looks as if the clothes on top might be cover-ups for the suits on the bottom.

Thanks for the link! I love the way the clothes are cut, using the bias to move the stripes around and make the bathing suits cling to the body. I'm going to go deep diving into vintage French sewing (yaah!) BTW, does anyone have a list of German sewing terms?

Thanks for that link to the German translations. I have an easy vintage German pattern for dolls' clothes that I can make my own way, but really wanted to know what the sewing instructions were to make sure I hadn't missed some vintage detail. I've looked for several years off and on for them, the last find being a $90 book (ouch) that was one big step too far for me. This is perfect!
