Other Crafts - A Cat Footstool from 1938

From Mechanics and Handicraft magazine, May 1938.  Not sure I'd want this in my living room but scaled down for a vintage dollhouse, maybe? For a look at more projects (and issues), visit the blog, here.

I agree. In a dollhouse, or maybe your own den or family room, but not where you entertain company. I guess it depends upon your friends . . .

If I made one I'd be banging my shins on it half the time. And my cat would laugh at me.

It's a good template for a Hallowe'en lawn ornament, though, or even just paper cutouts for the windows. I'll confess to having a cast iron cat shaped door stop courtesy of my mum.
