Sewing-Pattern for a Swinging 60's Skirt

This flower power-era skirt is from one of the Creative Hands books that I blogged about last winter. Originally published by Fratelli Fabri, Milan, in 1965, after five or so reprintings the series went out of print in 1975. So far as I have been able to discover, no current edition exists.

The pattern for the eight skirt panels and the instructions for drafting and making them are here. I'd gladly publish a photo if any brave, slim soul wants to sew one up!

It's gorgeous, but oh my goodness, I don't think I could face all the fabric it would waste. I'm miserly that way...

That is so pretty and feminine! I'm brave, but alas...the last time I was that slim it WAS the
60s and I was barely a teen!

I LOVE that skirt. Makes me want to learn to sew, 'cause I'd totally wear it. I'll just bookmark it for now.

ooh I like it - wish I knew how to sew and I echo a previous comment, I can't remember the last time I was skinny enough to wear the skirt. Pretty though :-)
Very Steve Nicks-ish.

Not to criticise, but I clearly remember wanting one of those skirts, and they're definitely early 70s. I was tall and skinny then. Still tall, but not so skinny any more!
