
These patterns could be ordered for a dollar each from the pages of Modern Needlecraft in 1952.

But just look at some of the designers; Ceil Chapman, Vera Maxwell, Claire McCardell. The McCardell midriff dress is a classic.

I have a few of those old patterns.. they sure were a lot different then what we have now.. no writting on them, just pumched holes.
oh my, but weren't they elegant!
I would flip...I really would...if I could get my hands on that McCardell design. Classic!
