From Needlecraft, June 1914. Skirt on the left, thumbs down. Skirt on the right, thumbs up. Skirt in the middle, looks as though the designer's mother was frightened by a pair of jodhpurs.
The center one - I can't imagine. I guess it might work with my thunder thighs. Oooooo, I still can't imagine. LOL The one on the right is really pretty and practical, as in one could actually move in it.

The silhouette on the left I like a lot, but the top bits should be part of a tunic with a plain slim skirt underneath.
Love your comment about the jodhpurs! That really is an odd looking design for a skirt.
can you tell me who makes the pattern? and the id of it please? thanks
Olivia, these patterns were sold through Needlecraft Magazine back in 1914. You might be able to find it by contacting dealers in antique patterns.
