From Workbasket magazine, February 1954. The bonnet and sunsuit are pretty cute. Practical, too.

Hmmm. I would probably alter the sunsuit just a little, by cutting along the line where the bottom is supposed to fold, and use buttons or snaps to keep it together. Otherwise you'd have to take the entire thing off to change a diaper or go potty.
But it IS really cute. So's the bonnet. And I kinda covet the dresses. They look so practical yet polished.
I have pictures of me wearing that sunsuit, or one like it, and i do believe mom altered it so it did snap in the crotch. I and my sister both wore the bonnet, still had it when my oldest kids were babies and they wore it too. Liked it because you could unbutton it and lay it flat.

I can remember my grandmother wearing dresses like these. Love them.
