Did You Know?

Jazz saxophone, played at just the right decibel level, will make a German Shepherd howl?

(The Drama Queen was most displeased. It woke her up).

Pets are entertaining, aren't they? Any improvement in your situation?

The cough is better but my ribcage is killing me. *Everything* hurts.

Wow, I'm really impressed that you are managing to play the saxophone with a cough like that. Perhaps you should let up for a bit?

I really hope that you get a little more comfortable soon.

Thank you Julie, but the saxophone player was Louis Armstrong! I can barely play the pennywhistle.

I'm trying to figure out a way to say this without whining, but I can't. I'M IN PAIN!

Seriously. All the RN's at work are convinced that I've cracked a rib but the doctor's office lost my xrays.

Might be time to hit up that Doc for some serious painkiller. It can make a significant difference in your view on life...

Re: your horrible cough and the pain, @ 10 years ago I had pneumonia while on a 3 week business trip to England. I could not take any time for "bed rest", as I was constantly on the road.

One coughing spasm caused the *pop* you reported, and from that point on, everything hurt. When I got back Stateside, my PA told me that I had separated two ribs from the cartilage that holds them in place. He gave me cough suppressants and taped my ribcage. Time was the only cure.

Get better soon!
