Ah, you need a teenage daughter. Went to a Katy Perry concert with mine(her request). The audience was 90% female, mostly aged 10-18. I rather enjoyed it, despite the overdose of pastels, glitter and candyland. Her older brothers were horrified.

Don't know who any of the Katys are; or the Britneys, Ashleys; or the single-named hip-hop people; or the triply-named male actors. All I know is they all have tattoos, break up and reform in various romantic configurations, and seem to "hit the red carpet" a lot at events no one outside of Hollywood knows or cares about.
I opted not to Google this person. At least I'm in good company. I also didn't know whether Casey Anthony was a man or a woman until the day of sentencing, and I didn't know what the crime was. I guess I just don't have any sense at all, I suppose.
