Caturday!

In the interests of economy, the spousal unit booked an appointment at Dr. Tinyvet's this morning for both cats.  He trapped Reserve Cat with no trouble but as soon as she spotted the kitty crate being brought out of storage, Her Majesty disappeared.

Neatly and completely.  We spent a quarter of an hour in an unsuccessful room by room sweep before bowing to the inevitable.  Five minutes after he drove off she walked out of the furnace room with a neener neener neener look on her face.

Been there, done that. A really determined cat can fold itself up into a tidy package smaller than a pocket handkerchief. (Love the kitten photo, BTW. I often feel the same way.)

She was foiled by the miracle of modern technology. I grabbed her, called the spousal unit on his cell, and he came back and got her.

She's sitting on the counter glaring at me as I type.

Good going, Shay! Been there-been through this! Emergency vet visit last Sunday-took three of us to deal with one little 10 lb cat-vet went to put her in the carrier-and she latched onto the door with claws out and wouldn't let go! Hubby held carrier, Vet held cat--and I peeled claws off so we could do a slam-dunk. It also took 3 of us to give her fluids and one dose off medicine! Thought we were going to lose her-but we had a "resurrection Monday" and recovery.

It's unbelievable how much trouble we will go to for thse little buggers.

I'm glad your cat survived.

We resort to keeping the carrier next to the food bowl and clicker training Sprite. This way I can move the food bowl INTO the carrier 2 months before the vet visit and pray I can slam the door shut before she reaches supersonic speed. Neener-neener-neener

This pic is what I so love about cats (besides everything else.) Just a little bundles of downy fluff, 6 or 8 weeks old, and tip to tail catitude, fully equipped with an overload of cute and claws, and knowing how to use both - not to mention those razor sharp teeth. Oh, I miss my orange guy so.
