“[Alaska Fish & Game official] Lou Cenicola reported
that around 7:30 p.m. Monday, a man in a “realistic-looking” bear costume ran
through a group of people standing on the side of the road bear-watching. The man ran “waving and jumping”…trying to get
the attention of a sow with cubs.
Cenicola says the man in the costume got within 5-10 feet of the cubs.
Cenicola reported that he ran toward the man to stop him,
telling him he could be cited for wildlife harassment.”
I imagine that if this clown tries it often enough, a
citation is going to be the least of his worries.

I worry more for mama bear as she's the one more likely to be killed (shot) if she attacks this fool who rightly deserves to be lunch.
there is an actual darwin award, darwinawards.com, out there for such individuals. a relative in law enforcement used to send me the annual lists - because he had encountered some similar instances in his career.
And another nomination for the Darwin Award!
