We used to have a cat who would go to great lengths to pull a flower from a vase or a bouquet, and just carry it around in her mouth for hours, sort of feline Carmen.
The late, great Her Majesty was so fond of eating flowers that the only place I could keep a vase of them safe was on top of the bookcase in the bedroom.
Reserve Cat does not eat flowers; unfortunately, he'll jump up on the table and rub up against them, knocking over the vase and cause small floods and scattered blossoms.

I don't know which is worse.
Trust me - knocking the flowers over is better. My cats eat them and proceed to barf them up all over the house.
