Happy Easter

From the McLean County Historical Museum. The back of the card has a message from a little girl recovering from chickenpox, poor kid

The roof is done, except for putting the gutters back up.  We will be picking pieces of shingles out of the grass and the patio for the foreseeable future, but at least we have a roof.

Also, for the first time in a week Brian is getting a real dinner instead of sandwiches or warmed over spaghetti or pizza. He’ll also be able to eat at 6pm instead of 8 or 9.  Damn Daylight Savings Time, anyway.

Ham, new potatoes, peas, rolls, and a relish tray (devilled eggs, homemade pickles, olives, carrots, celery), with banana cream pie for dessert.  If he falls asleep over it, I won’t blame him a bit.

Banana Crème Pie, oh my! I suggested to The Squire that he sort though some of his zillion and one paper-back sci-fi books to donate, and he grabbed his chest, staggered around, and asked why I just didn't rip out his heart and feed to the animals. Over-react much? Anyway, I had to bribe him with banana pudding, the sort with vanilla wafers and meringue on top, to convince him it *might* be worth his while.

Nanner pudding is a great bribe, since everybody loves it.
