From the November, 1952 Workbasket magazine. Instructions are on my Flickr account. If the jpg looks a bit lopsided, it's because I was playing around with our new printer/scanner (which Reserve Cat doesn't care for as he can't sleep on top of it the way he could the old one).

Whaaaat? You did not pick a printer with a sleeping cat space? Shame on you! Now tell me which one you got so I can boot the Maine Coons off.
HP OfficeJet 4650. The top is not flat enough.
We recently replaced the old, large HP all in one with a Brother which is not quite large enough for sleeping, but does have the advantage of being easy to turn on in the middle of the night with a mere touch of a pussycat nose. Instant alert from the other half a couple of times until he figured out what was going on.
He has tried lying down in front of it a few times, which prevents me from from loading paper and the printer from producing copies because he's blocking the port.
Big fat ol' boy.
How do they always know the least helpful spot to lie?
It's a seventh sense, like knowing the one person in the room who hates cats and going to sit in their lap.
