Yup. I play the recorder . . . Little Sister's cat will NOT be in the same room with it. A previous cat, when we were kids, ran from her violin . . . but that cat had been traumatized: when my parents first got the piano(an upright), Puggy climbed up to the top, then came down via the keyboard after the cover had been lifted. Surpriiiise!
Oboes are the worst followed by brass instruments. But there is great folk music out there - Vance Gilbert, Ellis Paul. Okay the local peacocks at the Beardsley Zoo HATE John Gorka's voice....

I'm not sure which is worse for a cat's ears, winds or brass.
