Cahoots

I don't know which one did it -- but I crated both dogs when I left for town this morning, and when I got back home Chunk was waiting for me at the back door.

Mind you, none of them have opposable thumbs.

I'll bet his nose is prehensile... it's long enough! :^)

I suspect it was the skull. The front of the crate now looks like a bay window.

A skull being taunted by tiny felines can make any dog go berserk.
Would loved to have seen the video of this escape.

Our pit/bulldog used to open her crate by pulling the door inwards. Considering how sturdy those things are, it is a feat worthy of the Six Million Dollar Man that by the time she crossed the bridge the wires that poke into the holes in the top and bottom to keep the door latched were BENT. Ninety pounds of I-don't-wanna-be-in-here will do that.

The cats did it.

1)I'm not sure even with all 3 of them pulling together they could have bent the front of the cage until he could slip through and

2) they despise him.

Still, anything's possible.

I once crated a scrawny, homeless Burmese who looked too weak to do much of anything. He broke out of the cage, twice. The second time, I watched him push and pull at the door until he bent the lock and sprung the door. Of course, the impulse could have come from hearing the oversized Queen upstairs yowling and clawing at the basement door in an attempt to get at him and kill him. (She was a doll, but crazy jealous of other cats.)
