Batdog and I were in line at the Post Office when a small voice piped up "Look, mommy - that grandma has a puppy!" Of course when I told Brian he laughed.
Thank goodness for on-line translation. My Latin education ended with translation of Caesar's letters from the front. On the bright side, once you do get old and grey, you'll be amazed at what you can get away with because the world thinks you're just a sweet, somewhat dotty, harmless woman. The Mme Defarges of the world slip by unseen. Bet his mother gave him a poke.
I'm not sure which is worse - being called an old lady, or being called a little girl - which I was Saturday afternoon. I'll be 75 in two months! I helped a woman find something on the shelf and she told her husband "That little girl over there got it for me." She obviously was half blind.

I wonder if he's been trying to convince his mom to get him a puppy & you were further proof that everyone else has one?
Some puppy!
