Most people call me "Dani", which is a contraction of my last name before The Squire and I were married. You can imagine the "oh, I thought you were a man" remarks I get. Even introductions, strangers will reach for The Squire's hand and say, "Nice to meet you, Dan" immediately.
My nickname is Sam (it annoyed my mom, so I kept it). At college, I ran the sound and lighting crews for concerts and the 6'1" Hawaiian guy named Sam did hospitality. We always laughed at the band reactions to this.
Funny how we end up with the names we are supposed to have, regardless of what our parents named us. That said, I'm glad my father nixed calling me Morag.

Hoo Boy... as a woman named Kyle, I get this All. The. Time.

Bunnykins, you are absolutely correct. I really have a Dani personality, rather than an Anne.
