Unbelievable. There has to be a sane solution for this issue, but as long as the NRA seems to be drifting into the nutty realm and still owns all these politicians I won't be expecting much to change.
Am I misremembering, or did schools in the inner cities somewhere put sort of a double entry system on the doors where the space between doors had metal detectors and that the inner door didn't open for anyone with a knife/gun/chair (or boning in their bra)? I know it's nice suburban schools where shootings are happening, but wouldn't the same system work as long as no one could pull a fire alarm?
Bunnykins - some schools that deal with gang issues have installed metal detectors on the major doors. But many doors remain open and unlocked at schools. Now we will see a small tag on every school window in Conn. that lists the room number. So the cops can find the side of the building the issue is in. So very, very sad.

especially if you were a male teacher...
gah
to this we have evolved?
I'm a gun owner. It still boggles my mind that some think the solution to gun violence is more guns.
And now, Captain Bonespurs claims HE would have run into Stoneman-Douglass even if he didn't have a gun. Yeesh.
Recipe for disaster.
