That's a different way of looking at shoe boxes. And the point about shipping boxes is true. Blick art supplies is even worse than Amazon--they once sent 2 drawing pencils in a box big enough for several books. Why they didn't use a padded envelope or smaller box baffles me.
I used to wonder why my grandfather saved every paper grocery bag and stuck them behind the kitchen dresser, and now my garage is full of boxes. Next summer's project.

Or, you'd buy books from Amazon that they always over-pack in a box that is 2/3 too big and full of peanuts.
