A Nous Les Petites Suitcases

Slightly larger than the one I took to Ireland, but I'm packing for eighteen days instead of ten.

Very nice, and with lots of handy zippered compartments.
I hate sound like your great auntie, but do you have shields to protect your documents from being scanned? The household is asleep and I've run out of people to nag.
When are you off?

I assume you aren't packing as many clothes so as to leave room for...you know...souvenirs and yarn and stuff?

So WHEN will you do a video of just HOW you pack so well? I do hope you have a RFID protection cover for your passport, credit cards and any other card with a magnetic strip on it. Enjoy the cruise!

I'm off tomorrow. I'm not sure the RFID protection is worth it (see below) but when I travel overseas I empty my wallet of everything but my retiree ID, my driver's license, and a bankcard that accesses a stand-alone account that I transfer money to the week before the trip.

I have a few last-minute errands in town today and will be picking up a cheap ripstop nylon bag that packs flat in the suitcase and will come home full of dirty laundry - while the souvenirs (yarn & stuff) rides in the suitcase.

Wise woman, important stuff rides in the suitcase, lol. And of course, being ex-military, packing small and neatly is not a problem. My dad was Navy during the Korean war so we kids learned early on how to pack that way. The only compliment from my DI in boot camp was how neat my drawer was and that I had made my bed properly. (Hubby said it was Girl Scout boot camp, it was. Two weeks National Guard and I already had a degree.)

It's a combination of USMC and American Red Cross. It never ceases to amaze me how many of my fellow volunteers fail to grasp that statistically speaking the staff shelter will be at least 500 yards from the parking lot, and whatever you pack, you have to carry.
