The thing that makes me most crazy is that we have a Congress that is *supposed* to be a check and balance to this nonsense, and they just sit there...
I don't have a dog in this fight, but find this echos the concept that a person has to be born on American soil to be considered a full citizen. It's too close to "blood and soil" for me and disrespectful of those who choose to defend their chosen country.Whatever happens in America eventually washes over the border, so I like to keep an eye on things. This idea needs strangled at birth.
It doesn't actually surprise me - nothing the Tangerine Tornado does surprises me any more - but now that immigrants who volunteer for military duty no longer get automatic citizenship, it makes sense, in a Trumpian sort of way. I suppose the next thing on his agenda is a grandfather clause, which might mean I'd lose my own citizenship, since my dad was born in Australia.
Just when I think The Turnip has gone as low as possible, he digs a new level down. Did he forget a)military bases are considered American soil b) The Military does not forget insults like this c) that he has the authority to do so. And this is why having a "business" man in the Oval Office is a BAD idea. I am apalled.
Anne Coulter should be careful what she wishes for. Her proposal would disqualify 'many fine people' and empower the aboriginal vote. Some states could be in for a suprise.
He will have to repeal the 14th amendment and that, my friends, is not going to happen as quickly and easily as he thinks it would.
For those who live outside the US, amending the Constitution is a long drawn out process that requires that Congress initiate it and then the entire country vote on ratifying it. Pres Dilophosaurus once again demonstrates he slept through civics class.
Don't we have enough challenges to deal with without making up new ones? And why would anyone set out to make our servicepeoples' job any harder than they already are? Help them, thank them, but do not ever say their children aren't "American enough." That's simply nuts.

Fortunately Tammy Duckworth is my senator...but I emailed her anyway, and I also emailed our utterly useless fucknuckle of a Congressman.
AND the regional HQ of the American Legion. Am waiting for the shit to hit the fan.

Good Lord, deliver us.

Anne Coulter has proposed that no one be allowed to vote who does not have both sets of grandparents born here.
Of course, that would mean Trump and all but one of his children wouldn't be able to vote.

Day-um, Shay, I just posted yesterday that Trump was going to try to push through a grandfather clause, and here it is! Yeesh.
Lady Anne - if the grandfather clause goes thru, can we deport The Turnip's family?
Please??? And Ann Coulter???
