Quote Of The Day

No nation can ever be worthy of its existence that cannot take its women along with the men.  ~ Muhammad Ali Jinnah

My mom was an activist. I grew up going to marches for Civil Rights, Women's Rights and Gay Rights. She taught her 4 daughters to stand up for what is right, speak up when you see a wrong and tell those that call you names ' "That is MADAME Diva Bitch to you". Calling a woman nasty is the sign of an insecure person who knows they are wrong.

Does it count that my British great aunt chained herself to a fence around a government building while trying to get the vote? Back then, the word was 'scandalous', not nasty, but it's all the same thing. It's long past due that life was equal for everyone. I've never understood the fuss about women working and having an equal say. Half of my family were farmers, worked just as hard as the men and said their piece. Not a lot of timid women in my family.
