Vintage Home Dec - A Black Cat Doorstop

Continuing yesterday's theme, I give you a black cat doorstop, from the January 1940 issue of Popular Mechanics.  Convenient, too - it can be "reached without stooping."

Looks like a fun project!

Made out of cardstock, felt, glue and dowels, I think this would make a great Halloween project for grade-schoolers.

Shay - that's a great idea. I don't have a workbench since we moved, so cardboard and dowels, felt, pipe cleaner whiskers and glow in the dark paint for the eyes is doable for me, too. Glue is so much better these days.

OMG. This is my grandmother's doorstop! She had it all my life and now I have it. So cool.
